We have an opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join our Golden Valley, MN team. You will be responsible for the delivery and support of business software for the Commercial & Infrastructure Business Unit: including ERP, CRM, CPQ, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Business Intelligence, Web, and Mobile solutions. In this role, the Project Manager will have oversight into our outsourced partners, and internal digital enablement projects. This role requires a strong understanding of business needs and how our software approach can satisfy needs and/or improve an existing operation. The role provides strategic leadership around software architecture, development platforms, data architecture and data analytics, methodologies, and governance.

** This individual can sit out of our Golden Valley, MN or North Arora, IL office. **

You will:

  • Partner with the business stakeholders and IT Business Partner to align and prioritize current and future IT initiatives in support of the business objectives.
  • Managing the portfolio of projects to ensure on-time, to quality and on budget delivery.
  • Structure and manage outsource partner relationships for design, delivery, and support of solutions.
  • Establish and assure adherence to development, testing, and release standards and policies.
  • Evaluate installed software solutions and identify areas to improve standards, simplify, and enhance functionality and/or transition to packaged solutions to improve supportability and time to market.
  • Develop and apply consistent, standardized development processes that are regularly updated through lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Identify and integrate data sources.
  • Ensure seamless data flow and address issues.
  • Analyze raw data and prepare it for modeling.
  • Define data naming and data standards.
  • Assemble and process large data sets.
  • Maintain applications in good working order and ensure regular updates of application versions.
  • Assist architecture team in development and execution of application roadmaps, consolidation and sun setting strategies.
  • Work within a team and across IT to establish and maintain an agile development process that is only constrained by our ability to fund work.
  • Create and manage projects budget.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred; Information Technology is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience Global ERP systems (SAP S4 HANA) and demonstrated knowledge of common "bolt-ons", mobile applications, application architecture, project management, CPQ & CRM tools, software-as- a-service, software integration, automated software testing, data analytics, management/governance, business intelligence.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus with exposure to technology providers and/or business clients.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • In-depth knowledge of the system development life cycle, systems analysis and design, current and emerging application development tools/platforms, and application program development alternatives.
  • Experience in a broad range of business problems and their various system solutions, within a manufacturing environment.
  • PMP certification is highly preferred (or willingness to obtain PMP certification).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and managerial skills.
  • Strong data analytics experience.
  • Planning and organizing, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300- $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
