Diverse design perspective is the foundation of McKinstry's ongoing success. We are currently seeking a Senior Architectural Project Manager within McKinstry's Architectural Team. Your passion, experience and endless curiosity are the missing piece in our drive for transformative change.

The Senior Architectural Project Manager will work within McKinstry's Architectural team to lead a variety of projects and will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary project teams throughout the architectural design process. The Senior Architectural Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and leading construction document production, technical detailing, Revit modeling and BIM coordination, building code and ADA research, business development, concept and design development, project scheduling, cross-disciplinary coordination, project fee proposals, project financial reporting, construction administration duties, as well as establishing design standards, prototypes, and templates.

Management:

* Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contract agreements

* Effectively works with Marketing team on project pursuits

* Works with Director of Architectural Design to create business development strategies and annual team business plan

* Manages multiple projects at one time, coordinates all aspects of assigned projects including staffing and multi-disciplinary team members

* Prepares staffing resource workplans and project schedules for project success

* Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts and project phases, administrative and technical, to ensure successful execution of assigned projects from design through construction

* Serves as primary client liaison and is responsible for managing client relationships

* Actively manages client and project budgets, schedules and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks and project team assignments/resource management

  • Reviewing and tracking project fees, budgets, and revenue forecasts

* Mentor and train project team members to increase their knowledge and skillsets regarding project process requirements

* Master at effective communication, organization and the ability to multi-task multiple projects at once

Design and Delivery:

* Advanced knowledge of building codes, ADA and jurisdictional/permitting processes (experience with local and state of Colorado permitting and jurisdictional processes required)

* Experience working with Colorado state agencies strongly preferred

* Create successful and effective construction documents and cartoon sets using the Architectural Team Revit and drawing standards

* Advanced understanding of architectural detailing and construction methods

* Curiosity and passion for understanding and learning more about architectural design trends, and a desire to take on more responsibilities

* Creative design, space planning and interior design capabilities preferred

* Create project schedules and identify milestones for deliverables

* Create and lead development of design standards, templates, and processes

* Collaborate with Director of Architectural Design and Architectural Team to develop creative design solutions

* Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of construction documents by all project disciplines for coordination issues

* Advanced experience with Construction Administration services

* Proficient at creating Project Manual specifications

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry:

* Minimum ten (10) years of experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary projects such as new construction/ground-up, tenant improvements, renovations, building additions/expansions; multiple ongoing quick-turn, fast-paced projects. K-12, Municipal, Commercial, Industrial project experience preferred.

* Bachelor's degree in Architecture

* Architectural licensure strongly preferred (Colorado licensure preferred)

* NCARB certificate is strongly preferred

* Proficiency with Revit, BIM and AutoCAD

* Proficiency with Business Development and CRM

* Proficiency with Project Financials and Resourcing tracking software

* Experience with SmartSheets preferred

* Proficiency with SketchUp software and Photoshop

* Advanced experience MS Office

* LEED AP preferred

The pay range for this position is $95,310 - $155,700 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
