Acara Solutions is seeking Facilities Supervisor with our client - a global leader in cutting-edge Supply Chain Solutions in Irving, TX.

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for general maintenance, upkeep, and functionality of the campus facilities. This position is also responsible for maintaining contract building maintenance services and Facility Technician staff. This role is important for maintaining a safe, functional, and efficient building environment.

This role is important for maintaining a safe, functional, and efficient building environment.

Here's what you will receive:

Pay rate: $30.00-$32.00 p/hr. DOE

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in general maintenance tasks
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Good communication skills to interact with building tenants, contract services, and team members
  • Strong Leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • A good understanding of supply chain and operations is preferred.
Maintenance and Reliability:
  • Understands Facilities and Plant Equipment maintenance (Preventive, Reactive, Troubleshooting)
  • Understands electro-mechanical equipment and requirements to run automated and semi-automated equipment
  • Facilities Equipment, including but not limited to:
  • Understands plant critical equipment
  • HVAC
  • Air Compressors
  • Pumps
  • Fire systems
  • Building and structures
  • Dust control equipment
  • Preventive activities on the above listed equipment
  • Understands plant electrical service, including but not limited to:
  • Major switchgear
    • Electrical drawings
    • Plant requirements
    • Preventive activities on the above listed equipment
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Ability to show initiative, work independently and make sound judgments on a day-to-day basis regarding assigned and ad hoc duties with minimal supervision
  • Trustworthy, strong emotional maturity, and intelligence with proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrated time management skills to achieve high performance goals by prioritizing and executing to meet deadlines
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) required
  • Working knowledge of Visio, SAP, Concur, CAD, and CRM preferred

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years related building maintenance experience required.
  • Related Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school will be considered in lieu of years of experience.
  • Previous experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor
  • HVAC, Electrical, and/or Plumbing Certifications preferred
  • Must possess or obtain within the first ninety (90) days of employment a valid Texas driver's license
  • and Meet the driver safety policy requirements and have current automobile insurance
  • Must pass a Background, Drug Screening, and a Motor Vehicle Report
  • Must meet ITAR requirements
