What success looks like in this role:

The Global Director of Network Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Delivery Management group, ensuring seamless execution of client-facing projects and services. This role is pivotal in achieving organizational goals, meeting client expectations, and driving operational efficiency. Responsibilities include overseeing project planning, resource management, risk mitigation, and ensuring financial and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of global network infrastructure, with hands-on experience in both on-premises and cloud-based environments. Familiarity with agile development processes and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Recruitment and Team Building: Expertise in hiring, training, and developing high-performing teams of network engineers. Ability to identify talent with specialized skills in network architecture, cloud networking, and automation.
  • Automation Leadership: Proven ability to design, implement, and oversee automation strategies for managing and optimizing network services.
  • Cloud Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including virtual networking, hybrid connectivity, and cloud-based security tools.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record in leading large, cross-functional, and globally distributed teams. Strong ability to mentor, develop, and inspire leaders and teams.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align service delivery and project execution with organizational goals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Exceptional skills in managing high-profile client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Budget and Financial Acumen: Expertise in managing large-scale budgets, cost control, and maximizing project profitability.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within complex delivery environments.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Outstanding communication skills to engage with clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Experience in managing performance and deliverables of third-party providers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishes and implements best practices for delivery management, focusing on scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Leads the execution and delivery of multiple global projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Develops innovative network solutions tailored to clients' needs, integrating emerging technologies.
  • Optimizes global resource allocation and workforce planning.
  • Develops and maintains key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor service delivery excellence.
  • Provides data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Drives continuous improvement efforts to enhance the client experience.
  • Executes a robust talent acquisition strategy to attract top network engineering talent.
  • Implements and expands the use of automation tools in both on-premises and cloud settings.
  • Collaborates with engineering teams to design automated network solutions.
  • Integrates cloud-based and on-premises technologies to deliver seamless network services.
  • Establishes performance benchmarks to measure the impact of automation tools on service delivery.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

BA/BS degree and 8-10 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Graduate degree preferred
4-6 years' leadership experience
