Business Development Executive, IBM

About the Role
We're seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive II (BDE) to manage and grow one of our largest, most strategic IBM reseller partnerships. This role will focus on driving execution against joint business plans, accelerating IBM software sales, and enabling partner teams across Data & Automation platforms. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who bring a mix of strategic account management, partner enablement, and sales execution skills, with the ability to align IBM priorities to the partner's GTM motion. This role requires spending 50% or more of your time at the reseller locations.

What You'll Do
* Subject matter expert (SME) on assigned Vendor's brand, technology solutions, program offerings, etc. for their assigned customer.
* Establish executive and operational relationships across the partner organization to support collaborative selling, technical enablement, and mutual business growth.
* Typically works on a strategic large and/or prominent account with several changing variables and complexity. The Vendor Field BDE II territory is large in financial nature as to the company impact/benefit (annual revenue, gross profit, and/or complexity dynamics).
* Act as a strategic advisor to partner executives, leading quarterly reviews and co-developing roadmaps that align IBM innovation to market opportunity.
* Execute against vendor initiatives and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on assigned vendor's brand, technology solutions, and program offerings for our customers.
* Develop and execute strategic joint business plans that align IBM's growth priorities to the partner's core competencies and client base.
* Proactively develop new ways of uncovering business opportunities and incorporating the vendor's full product line, as well as adjacent technologies, to create meaningful offerings.
* Able to speak to the customer on TD SYNNEX's High-Growth value propositions, including Cloud, Data, IoT, etc.
* Identify and create opportunity demand for products, coordinating seminars, training, and resource awareness for assigned customers to drive growth.
* Perform analysis and report results of various program impacts for identified customers, communicating success, issues, and future growth plan strategies to the Account Manager.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, competitors, technology, and customers in the assigned supplier product market.
* Expert knowledge of assigned Vendor's product/service line and understanding of TD SYNNEX's strategic sales pillars and associated value offerings so that they are sold into the territory.
* Guide partner teams in maximizing IBM incentives (new client, SaaS, CPPO) to drive growth and faster time-to-value through bundling and service alignment.

What We're Looking For
* The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in business development, partner sales, or strategic account management-preferably in the technology or software industry-but this is not a strict requirement.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
* Proficient in communication, negotiation, and collaboration.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
* Comfortable with technology and basic office tasks.
* Willingness to travel and occasionally work non-standard hours.
* Remote/work-from-home capability.

Annual Pay Range Requirement:

Annual compensation offered will be based on several variables including geographic location, work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.

  • Hiring Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $125,500.00 USD (Base and Incentive)
