Cloudera seeking to hire a Sustainability Program Manager who will be responsible for supporting Cloudera's sustainability and ESG strategies and maintaining regulatory compliance. The Sustainability Program Manager will also be responsible for key sustainability programs and will support legal compliance with applicable regulatory reporting and disclosures, including the California Climate Disclosure laws. They will act as a focal point for sustainability and ESG related matters internally and externally. To ensure success, the Sustainability Program Manager will need to have a strong background in sustainability and ESG with experience in carbon accounting and reporting, climate risks related to Cloudera's operations, and regulatory compliance.

As a Sustainability Program Manager, you will

  • Drive and support efforts to effectively engage with and respond to internal and external stakeholders on sustainability and ESG matters

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability and ESG strategy that aligns with Cloudera's goals and objectives

  • Conduct ESG risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and growth opportunities related to sustainability practices

  • Devise and manage governance of a sustainability and ESG Program, to include oversight by the Audit and Finance Committee of the Board of Managers

  • Develop and implement an inventory managementplan to accurately measure and report Cloudera's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for regulatory and reporting purposes

  • Lead annual process to report GHG emissions per regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate cross-functionally on preparation for compliance with various regulations such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and California Climate Rules

  • Analyze and evaluate stakeholder requests for ESG related information and develop and implement efficient procedures and systems for timely and appropriate responses, including intake, routing across businesses and functions, and communication repositories

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement carbon reduction plans and initiatives and integrate ESG considerations into product development, supply chain management, and operational processes

  • Lead the production and publication of Cloudera's first ESG report and other regulatory reporting requirements

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards

We're excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Sustainability or related field)

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental management and carbon accounting and reporting

  • Proven experience in implementing sustainable programs and achieving measurable results.

  • Expertise in sustainability reporting (e.g., SASB, TCFD, CDP, Ecovadis).

  • Experience with GHG protocol, carbon footprinting, and climate risk modeling

  • Must be a dependable teammate, ready to collaborate with multiple cross-functional partners (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Legal, and external vendors)

  • Confident working with various levels of management and handling highly confidential data

  • Ability to resolve simple to complex issues and work independently and effectively

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, efficiently prioritize tasks, and adhere to critical deadlines

  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, analytical abilities, and consistent follow-through, including project management skills

  • Advanced Google Workspace or Microsoft Office user
