GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Analyst - Claims works closely with process leaders to develop KPI's, enhance operational reporting, perform analytics to highlight process opportunities, complete month end close responsibilities and analyze financial data to identify areas of opportunities.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Retrieve and mine relevant data from key systems (SAP, AS400, Facets, Business Objects).
  • Prepare month end reporting and analysis
  • Perform financial/operational research work and prepare analyses such as claim analysis, collection rates and productivity reporting.
  • Compile or prepare reports, graphs and charts of data developed.
  • Analyze claim data, provide reporting and trend analysis, identify areas of opportunity for efficiencies.
  • Cooperate with other departments and stakeholders in the preparation and review of analyses.
  • Track, report, and analyze financial and operational performance measurement indicators.
  • Prepare special claim and operational reports, quantify savings and process opportunities.
  • Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, research, analyze and summarize financial and operational data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Accounting, MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of comparable experience
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • ERP system knowledge
  • Willingness and ability to be a self-starter, taking the initiative to solve problems.
  • Ability and desire to initiate and successfully accomplish personal and business goals.
  • Ability to analyze problems, to compile data, to determine facts and reach a logical conclusion.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and lead team members and provide positive feedback, constructive criticism and ideas for improving processes.
  • Strong time management, organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to build strong internal, external and cross-functional business relationships.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • SAP experience preferred
