Description

WCTC's Corporate Training Center (CTC) provides high-quality professional development training and services for individuals and the business community. We are seeking individuals with expert level knowledge in their subject area, demonstrated competency, and passion to provide instruction and/or technical assistance/consulting for the following key area(s):

  • Leadership Development
  • Project Management
  • Advanced Spanish Proficiency

Compensation paid by course.



Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, the instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students within the assigned and approved instructional delivery system and in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures of the District. The CTC instructor is responsible for providing an active learning environment to enable participants to demonstrate desired competencies and fostering a professional learning environment that achieves the customer's desired learning outcomes. Teaching assignments may include instruction for both public workshops and customized contract training.


Minimum Qualifications

Requirements may vary according to the instructional area and position.

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate field. A Master's degree is required in some areas.
2. Twelve months of occupational experience other than in the educational field for academic subject instructors.
3. Twenty-four months of directly related occupational experience for occupational subject instructors. One year of occupational experience must be within the last five years.
4. Previous teaching experience is desirable.
5. Appropriate technical/occupational licensure where applicable.
6. Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
7. Previous curriculum development experience.

Hours
Hours may vary depending on teaching assignment, but may include days, evenings, and/or weekends.

Teaching Assignments
Please note that this is a pool position, teaching assignments will be given based on need.

Interview

Final candidates may be asked to present a short training session. Though you may not be selected immediately for an interview your application may be kept on file for future recruitment needs.
