Job Description:

The Information Technology (IT) Help Desk Technician role ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer hardware, software, and mobile devices. This position will do analysis, installation, configuration and provide end-user training as needed.This position will diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems, implement solutions in a timely manner and contribute to the documentation of solutions for future reference.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides technical support, responds and completes help desk tickets as submitted by end-users.

  • Performs post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.

  • Performs inventory, creates technical specifications & documentation as needed.

  • Responsible for setting up, deploying, and troubleshooting Apple iPhones & iPads.

  • Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of user PC's.

  • Performs hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing hardware, software, and configuring systems and applications.

  • Performs new physical location setup including workstations, conference rooms, printers, internet connectivity, etc.

  • Other projects or duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or an Associate's degree and 2+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous help desk or customer service-related experience is required.

  • Background in advanced hardware and software troubleshooting skills required.

  • Must have experience working with iPhone/iPad and Android phone/tablets.

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Windows (including networking) & Microsoft Office/Office 365 is required.

  • Experience with remote management, asset management, and automated Help Desk systems are a plus.

  • Customer-oriented mindset with exceptional customer service skills required.

  • Must be highly motivated, able to work with high energy, and have a positive attitude.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to an ever-changing environment.

  • Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written, with internal co-workers, and personnel of all levels.

  • Must be able to develop technical training and/or procedure documentation for end-users.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Able to work extended hours (up to 12 per day) during peak periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions on the job. Employees are exposed to minimal noise level. The work environment is characteristic to a typical office setting with use of computer/laptop/iPad in natural and/or florescent lighting.

Additional Job Description:

Base Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00/hr

The base salary range may vary depending on geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.
