Where Data Does More. Join the Snowflake team.

Snowflake redefined the data landscape over a decade ago by building a Data Cloud with industry-leading performance and price for data at any scale and for multiple workloads: data engineering, data analytics, and AI/ML.

The Migrations team operates to be the catalyst for data and application modernization by strategically leveraging the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. Data ecosystem migrations are complex and require the entire ecosystem of ETL pipelines, database code & data, and consuming applications to be migrated and then optimized. This team is chartered with building products and APIs to help our customers and partners migrate their ecosystems on legacy data platforms to the modern Snowflake AI Data Cloud.

As a Product Manager on the Migrations Team at Snowflake, you will be instrumental in enabling customers and partners to transition their complex data ecosystems from legacy platforms to the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deeply Understand Customer Data Migration & Validation Needs: Conduct detailed research and analysis to understand customer requirements, pain points, and use cases specifically related to migrating diverse data types, ensuring data integrity, performance, and completeness during and after migration. This includes understanding challenges like post-migration validation.

  • Contribute to Feature Strategy & Roadmap: Contribute to the strategy and roadmap for data migration capabilities, ensuring alignment with the overall migration product vision and customer needs. For example, defining features and processes that ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of migrated data, including defining validation rules, diagnostic mechanisms, and reporting capabilities.

  • Define Product Requirements: Translate customer needs and strategic direction into clear, concise, and detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for data migration features. This involves close collaboration with engineering, design, and quality assurance teams.

  • Support Product Development & Prioritization: Work day-to-day with engineering teams to guide the development of data migration and validation features, clarify requirements, answer questions, and assist in prioritizing tasks within your feature areas to ensure timely delivery and quality.

  • Understand Ecosystem Integration for Data: Learn and understand how data migration and validation features fit into the broader ecosystem migration (ETL pipelines, database code, consuming applications), recognizing dependencies and ensuring your features support a holistic migration process.

  • Analyze Feature Performance: Monitor and analyze usage data, customer feedback, and success metrics specifically for data migration and validation features to identify areas for improvement, inform future iterations, and demonstrate the value delivered.

OUR IDEAL PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE:
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) building and delivering products

  • Strong familiarity with data ecosystems (databases, analytics, ETL)

  • Experience building and delivering tools or platforms for data engineers or developers

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
