Technical Editor

The Technical Writer is responsible for the on-time delivery of compliant, competent, and accurate responses to a wide variety of writing assignments.
• In addition to strong writing skills, the position requires proficiency in copyediting and document formatting.
• Writing and editing technical content (Technical Approaches, Past Performance Descriptions, etc.);
• Communicating with members of IMG to coordinate status of deliverables, resource needs;
• Copyediting proposal content-including reviewing for compliance, accuracy, and completeness;
• Providing publications support to other IMG departments as needed (e.g., writing articles for the in-house newsletter, providing website content, copyediting project work)

• • BA or BS in English, Journalism, or a related field AND at least 5 years of writing experience.
  • The job requires strong organizational and time-management capabilities, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with advanced features of MS Word is required for performing document design, layout, and formatting; as are skills in the use of MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Suite. Experience using SharePoint is required.
  • Ability to obtain a security clarance therefore U.S. citizenship is required
