Warehouse Associate

Contract Length: Temp to Perm

Hours: 10AM - 6:30 PM


We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Order Picker/Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse by accurately selecting, packaging, and preparing orders for shipment. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick and Pack Orders: Accurately select items from storage locations based on order sheets or electronic picking systems, ensuring correct quantity and product specifications.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts, stock replenishment, and maintaining accurate records of items picked and stored.
  • Quality Control: Inspect items for damage or defects before packaging, ensuring that all products meet company quality standards.
  • Shipping and Receiving Support: Prepare picked items for shipment, ensuring that packaging is secure and labeled correctly; assist in unloading and receiving shipments as needed.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, follow safety protocols, and report any hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Use of Equipment: Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks to move materials as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with other team members and supervisors to ensure warehouse efficiency and meet daily order fulfillment goals.


Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse environment or similar role preferred.
  • Skills:

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to read and interpret order sheets.
    • Familiarity with warehouse management software or RF scanners is a plus.
    • Basic math skills for counting and inventory purposes.


  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and move objects up to [insert weight requirement].
    • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
    • Comfortable working in various warehouse conditions (e.g., cold, heat).




Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if required.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and company procedures.
