About the RoleThe Inventory Coordinator II at Sierra Space plays a vital role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, navigating logistics, and supporting supply chain operations. With a solid understanding of inventory management principles and Knowledge with MRP systems, they collaborate with team members to ensure seamless inventory processes, problem-solve issues, and communicate effectively. The role will also involve operating equipment like forklifts and fostering continuous improvement within inventory control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage accurate inventory records using MRP systems and inventory management

  • databases.

  • Assist in logistics operations including receiving, stocking, and distributing inventory items.

  • Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.

  • Utilize intermediate computer skills and MS Office tools to manage and analyze inventory data.

  • Problem-solve inventory discrepancies and follow written and verbal directions to resolve issues.

  • Communicate concisely and effectively, both in written and verbal formats, with team members and other

  • departments.

  • Operate a forklift and ensure safe handling of inventory items; ability to obtain forklift certification.

  • Act as a change agent by identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes.

  • Support shipping activities by preparing and processing shipping and receiving documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically 1+ years of related experience is required.

  • Certifications: Ability to obtain internal certification.

  • Basic knowledge of logistics, shipping, and inventory management.

  • Knowledge and understanding of MRP systems.

  • Ability to problem-solve and follow written and verbal directions.

  • Ability to communicate concisely, both written and verbal.

  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.

  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.

  • Experience with operating a forklift and ability to obtain forklift certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory control environment.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with various departments.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in inventory management practices.

Compensation:

Pay Range:

$18.39 - $25.29

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education,experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.

Additional Requirements:

  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps

  • Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity

  • Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors

  • Occasionally requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes

  • Frequently lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)

  • Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials

  • Occasionally exposed to loud noises

  • Safety Sensitive Position:

  • Responsible for the safety and security of people or property

  • Inspects, handles or transports explosives, dangerous or hazardous materials

  • Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles

  • Performs aviation related duties

  • Operate or supervise vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery
