LOB Specific Summary:

Candidate in this role will be working with Dev leads and Managers to lead the Functional Testing, Manual Regression Testing and Regression Automation efforts. Will be responsible for managing a group of offshore testers and their work allocation, in addition to setting up testing, test plan and test evidence standards that all testers in the team need to comply with. This person will be working with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand the requirements and collaborate in sprint planning to ensure stories are properly refined and pointed from testing perspective to avoid any testing delays. Need to be familiar with banks change management standards to ensure each release is compliant and each story has test evidence prior to sprint closure. This is not just a lead and oversight role, but a contributing lead role where the person will be having their own testing stories as well.

This person will have to come up with the regression automation plan to automate the existing regression scripts as currently the regression is done selectively because of time and resource constraints and it poses a risk to the delivery with each release. Work with Tech managers to ensure that QA team is properly allocated to handle both functional testing and regression automation work.

Job Description:
This job is responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes, ensuring the testing strategy and processes are well-defined and continuously improved. Key responsibilities include establishing a test and automation strategy, creating common test frameworks, defining and managing test processes including test data generation, defect management and reporting. Job expectations include understanding and implementing internal/external mandate, ensuring compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments, and manages traceability.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates and optimizes test processes including defect management and reporting
  • Creates and optimizes test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools
  • Leads test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams
  • Creates a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, and Backend, etc.)
  • Ensures alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholders
  • Manages test execution and resolves, communicates or escalates any issues that may result in test plan variance
  • Designs test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ yrs experience with PL/SQL queries
  • Strong knowledge of Informatica ETL
  • Strong experience in testing reports using any of the BI Tools
  • Strong experience in TOSCA required
  • Independent contributor with problem solving, analytical and leadership skills
  • Solid communication skills (oral and written) to document/communicate issues
  • Experience with onsite-offshore coordination
  • Experienced in Data warehouse and concepts of dimensions
