TITLE: TN - Facilities Technician

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Maintain facilities and repairs physical structures of internal and external buildings. Maintains grounds/equipment and specific systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Hugh school education; minimum two years' experience in facilities maintenance for Industrial or Commercial properties; demonstrated skills in predictive and preventative maintenance; MIG welding experience preferred, electrical experience up to 480 VAC, plumbing, basic carpenter skills, Class 1H3 certification for freon application preferred, familiarity with electrical panels and how they distribute power to branch circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in the standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Maintenance Inventory Software, Work order system software.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Receive written work orders or verbal instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Perform minor and routine painting to interior and exterior walls and trim
  • Perform simple carpentry tasks including but not limited to patching or replacing walls, ceilings or trim of buildings
  • Perform preventive maintenance schedules as required
  • Maintain and repair buildings' plumbing and electrical systems to include replacing worn or damaged parts in specific equipment used to maintain facilities
  • Assist with the maintenance of HVAC to include freon application and minor preventive maintenance, calibration, repairs to pumps and/or compressors, clean/replace filters as required.
  • Assist other departments with moving furniture and assembly of other components
  • Spread salt and shovel snow from walks, employee entrances, and drive2ays using snow removal equipment with applicable.
  • Cleans grounds and remove litter
  • Water shrubs
  • Repair fences, gates, walls, and walks.
  • Paint fences and outbuildings
  • Clean out drainage ditches and culverts
