Responsibilities
Assist in the design of data acquisition and processing systems which process, analyze, and report signature data
- Conduct R&D efforts to support the design and evaluation of real-time series data recorded from sonar systems/sensors for post-processing and analysis
- Analysis of large Navy sonar radiated noise, self-noise, and structure-borne noise systems, including acoustical signal acquisition; transmission, telemetry and processing subsystem; and numerical and acoustic model development, implementation, and data analysis
- Utilize data acquisition systems to measure the signatures characteristics, including radiated noise, target strength, sonar self-noise, Radar Cross Section (RCS), Infrared (IR), and Electro-Optical (EO)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in Engineering, Math, Physical Sciences, Computer Science or other STEM majors OR six years of U.S. Navy fleet operational experience with at-sea measurement trials
- Six years of technical experience with data acquisition and processing systems which process, analyze, and report signature data
- Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information Clearance (SCI) eligibility or Active TS/SCI Clerance
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- Four years of experience conducting R&D efforts to support the design and evaluation of real-time series data recorded from sonar systems/sensors for post-processing and analysis
- Four years of experience with systems analysis of large Navy sonar radiated noise, self-noise, and structure-borne noise systems, including acoustical signal acquisition; transmission, telemetry and processing subsystem; and numerical and acoustic model development, implementation, and data analysis
- Four years of experience with data acquisition systems to measure the signatures characteristics, including radiated noise, target strength, sonar self-noise, Radar Cross Section (RCS), Infrared (IR), and Electro-Optical (EO)
- IAT Level II certification
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $91,600.00/Yr. - USD $153,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
