The Sr. Scientist is responsible for developing analytical methods and improvement of existing methods, for new products and to support applicable regulatory requirements used in products. Use a diverse range of technological methods to perform routine assay using modern instrumentation. Reviews and writes procedures and protocols, maintains records, tests products and reports on status. Participates in and leads cross-functional teams (liaising at times with customers and suppliers), trains and coordinates the scheduling of lab techs, and stays abreast of current industry related trends.

Independently develops analytical methods for new products Responsible for performing method validation/verification and equipment qualification Extensive hands-on experience with analytical instruments such as ICP/MS, HPLC/UV-Vis/RI/CAD, IC, and GC. Proficient with Empower and Chromeleon acquisition software. Has a good understanding of the raw materials' physical and chemical properties and finished products to anticipate issues during the lifetime of various samples' testing cycles. Proficient in the organization QMS program to retrieve of essential records, record keeping procedures. Proficient in detection of errors in releases and/or review of document/test records. Proficient in handling multiple projects/special projects in logical sequence. Eager to accept challenging projects. Proficient at writing protocols, reports, and white papers. Proficient in keeping projects on schedule and on time Proficient in all types of calculations required by the analytical methods, statistical analysis for experimental design, and compendial calculations. Proficient at interpretation of statistical data for investigation purposes. Proficient in understating USP-NF and cGMP regulations. Provide surveillance of upcoming USP changes via USP Forum. Proficient at listening actively and readily assumes responsibility for actions. Proficient at managing tactical steps to push project forward. Demonstrates high standards of ethics and Plans, monitors, and performs chemical and physical testing on formulas and packaging components of stability samples.
Who you are and what we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology, or related scientific discipline with 5 to 7 years of applicable laboratory experience preferable in the GMP facility Master's degree in chemistry, Biology, or related scientific discipline with 3 to 5 years of applicable laboratory experience preferable in the GMP facility Experience with chromatographic (HPLC/GC) method development, validation, and transfer. Ability to effectively coach and mentor other analytical chemists. Good math aptitude. Considerable interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external customers, function as a team player, accept constructive criticism from management and comply with Company policies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. A broad understanding of physical and chemical properties of chemicals, OSHA regulations, FDA regulations, USP, and cGMP with ability of adhering/complying to very disciplined scientific procedures.
