Dine Brands Quality Assurance (QA) is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Dietitian to oversee nutrition, ingredient, and allergen information across our restaurant menus and digital platforms. This role is instrumental in upholding the accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance of nutrition data presented to guests and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in nutrition, menu labeling standards, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

The primary focus of this position is regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring all menus meet FDA Menu Labeling requirements and other applicable regulations. This includes conducting precise nutrition analyses, managing ingredient and allergen data, coordinating third-party lab testing, and maintaining documentation within our Quality Management System. The role also involves close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to uphold legal standards and mitigate risk across all nutrition-related content.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accurate and precise nutrition analysis for menu items using nutrition analysis software such as Genesis or equivalent.
  • Ensure full compliance with FDA Menu Labeling requirements and applicable state/local regulations across all menus.
  • Follow brand recipes and standard operating procedures to prepare menu items in our test kitchen, package and ship them to a third-party for lab for analysis, collect the results, and process in the nutrition software.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to collect and validate nutrition, ingredient, and allergen data; manage Nutrition Product Analysis Reports within the Quality Management System.
  • Maintain and update guest-facing digital nutrition tools, including online calculators, ingredient search, and allergen filters; develop supporting nutrition handouts.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Legal, Menu Publishing, Culinary, and other internal teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of nutrition-related content.
  • Lead and support nutrition related initiatives such as sodium reduction.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field (required)
  • Registered Dietitian designation required
  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferably within a restaurant concept
  • Proficiency in nutrition analysis software (e.g., Genesis or similar tools)
  • Strong understanding of FDA Menu Labeling requirements and familiar with state/local nutrition, ingredients, and allergen regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50+ pounds), stand for extended periods of time, and tolerate walk-in freezer and hot cooking equipment environments
  • Comfortable working in kitchen environments, including handling sharp objects, dry ice, cleaning chemicals, and operating commercial kitchen equipment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Target base salary 75k-90k depending on experience
