Corrections Stock Clerk - SCI Dallas

As a Corrections Stock Clerk, you will handle the inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies in the inmate clothing exchange and laundry department, as well as the commissary area, for SCI Dallas. Your duties will include inventorying stock and receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and raw materials. In this position, you will train and monitor inmate workers in the completion of work assignments and provide input on inmate progress to the supervisor. Additionally, you can expect to prepare routine reports and operate motor vehicles, forklifts, or hand trucks to move oversized or heavy items, remove scrap materials, or make deliveries.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $43,543 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

• This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.

Additional Requirements:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
