DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for making determinations related to behavioral health service requests for individuals under age 21 and for completing federally mandated reviews of individuals with mental illness who are being considered for admission into a nursing facility. Responsibilities involve interpreting and applying clinical information and regulations to ensure that requested services are appropriate and compensable for reimbursement by the PA Medicaid Fee-for-Service program. Work is highly independent and involves daily use of various specialized computer programs and applications; however, regular interaction and collaboration occurs with coworkers, the unit supervisor, and the department consultant physicians. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time with the exception of reporting to the office one day per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of professional experience in the field of medical assistance, health care services, or human services; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- If you possess an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
