DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
In this role, you will be responsible for the daily delivery of materials originating from the County Office of Services for the Aging to 15 or more Senior Centers and aging providers countywide. This also includes hand delivering time sensitive or confidential materials to the County Government Center. Work involves maintaining eight county vehicles by performing weekly inspections, taking vehicles to the garage for maintenance, washing the vehicles, filling gas tanks, as well as ensuring vehicles contain incident report forms and vehicle registrations. You will also have the opportunity to provide clerical and office support as needed. Additional responsibilities include:
- Maintaining logs for routes and mileage
- Submitting monthly reports to the County Motor Vehicle Department
- Tracking employee driver's licenses and renewals
- Orienting new staff on the use of county cars, incident reports, and gas pumps
- Advising garage staff when employees have been cleared to drive through risk management
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk 1 and educational development to the level of the eighth grade; or
- Completion of a high school business curriculum; or
- Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges and abilities.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Delaware County. If no eligible candidates who live within Delaware County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
