Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide. Delivering highly skilled, cleared personnel who provide services on five continents for a portfolio of customers. Summary: The Telecommunications Equipment Installer and Repairer is responsible for independently supporting the design, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise telecommunications networks and systems. This position exercises discretion and independent judgment in evaluating systems infrastructure, developing technical improvements, and implementing forward-looking solutions that align with business and operational priorities.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex telecommunications systems and supporting infrastructure.
- Lead Level 2 maintenance activities on HOSP (Hospital Operations Systems Platform), including advanced diagnostics, system upgrades, and component-level repairs.
- Conduct and manage preventive maintenance schedules to ensure high system availability and performance.
- Analyze existing network configurations to identify systemic inefficiencies and propose long-term enhancements.
- Independently design and implement solutions tailored to meet operational requirements and business continuity goals.
- Ensure all technical documentation-including system diagrams, maintenance records, and configuration baselines-is accurate and audit-ready.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT leadership, engineering teams, and external vendors to integrate new technologies and optimize system interoperability.
- Ensure full compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and internal governance policies.
- Perform high-level technical planning and provide strategic input into infrastructure decisions based on field expertise and evolving system needs.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Advanced knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, networking architecture, and hardware systems.
- Ability to interpret complex technical documents, schematics, and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated experience applying critical thinking and discretion in technical troubleshooting and planning.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to develop standardized procedures and performance benchmarks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible technical experience in telecommunications or a related field.
- IAT Level I Certification.
- Demonstrated history of leading diagnostic, upgrade, and repair efforts independently.
- Active Top Secret (SCI Eligible) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (or higher) in Telecommunications, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience in enterprise or mission-critical environments with strategic infrastructure responsibilities.
