Job Developer SUMMARY The Job Developer maintains the systems for internship placement and monitoring job development, job placement and retention services to students and graduates of the Academy for Human Service Training (AHST). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assists current students and graduates of the Academy for Human Service Training (AHST) programs in Bridgeport with determining and meeting their training/employment goals. Works collaboratively with AHST staff in a professional manner. Carries out duties for the purpose of developing employer relationships for internship and /or employment placements. Assists in the recruitment of students. Maintains files and records regarding recruitment,job development activities, placements and retention. Instructs Employment Skills classes and other specialized classes in areas of knowledge and expertise at the program site. EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS Experience with job development/placement and/or community employment supports preferred. Marketing/ Sales experience preferred. Must have own insured vehicle to use for work purposes. Must be available to work40 hours per week with flexibility to meet program needs. Must have knowledge of resume and cover letter composition. Some travel will be required.
