Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday


Summary

Coordinate maintenance planning activities and provide operations support, including inhouse planned and preventive maintenance, backlog management, and inventory processes aligned with production and maintenance requirements.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure efficient equipment operation.
  • Prepare, review, update, and close work orders (job plans, labor hours, skills, parts availability) in SAP or applicable systems.
  • Coordinate and schedule daily/weekly maintenance activities; manage backlog to minimize downtime.
  • Create purchase orders, negotiate pricing, and procure parts/supplies; oversee inventory control and approvals.
  • Maintain machine manuals, prints, schematics, and equipment records.
  • Generate maintenance, financial, and technical reports, including equipment history and open order updates.
  • Support continuous improvement by updating tasks/frequencies with manager approval.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all state and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Follow DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Education and Experience



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 to 4 years MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul), manufacturing, or related work experience
  • Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and general maintenance activities
  • Skill in organization and prioritization
  • Able to coordinate a high-level of activity
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
  • Able to perform task and duties without constant supervision
  • Able to understand the basic types of controls used in the plant and how they affect the process
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
