Job Title: System Integration Tester

Location: Plano, TX (on-site)

Duration: 8 months

The Opportunity

This on-site contract position works out of our Plano, TX location in the Neuromodulation division of our client. Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. The system test group is responsible for the system integration and verification testing of all new products prior to regulatory review and launch worldwide. The system integration contractor is responsible for developing test methods and scripts, executing the necessary testing, and documenting the results in integration test reports. It is expected that the tester works closely with product development team to report defects and ensure correctness of test results. The contract position is intended to support a planned or ongoing project until its completion, typically 12 months or less.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years relevant industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline
  • Proficient in Python development
  • Experience performing manual testing, integration testing, automated testing
  • Experience with defect reporting using JIRA
  • Experience working with various engineering functions and cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good analytical and communication skills



Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant industry experience
  • Experience working in regulated industry (e.g. medical, automotive, defense)
  • Experience with developing test plans, test cases/protocols
  • Experience with firmware/software integration
  • Experience using and/or developing automation solutions in Appium and Selenium
  • Knowledge of hardware testing and tools, such as oscilloscope, DAQ systems
  • Experience with electromechanical implantable devices
  • Experience translating product requirements into test cases to ensure full coverage
