Responsibilities The Clinical Informatics Manager position serves as a role model for bridging the functions of clinical care and information technology within all aspects of the organization. The Manager will work closely with hospital leadership, clinical staff, and technology teams to enhance the use of electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology solutions to improve patient care and outcomes. This position is classified as a safety-sensitive position, which means OHH reasonably believes this position could affect the safety and health of her or her own self and others. Responsible for directly soliciting optimization ideas, leading nursing advisory councils in ongoing structure, and acting as a liaison between IT and clinical operations. Responsibility for ongoing support of clinical super users Develop a program for real time at the elbow support for clinical (MD and APP), nursing and hospital ancillary support staff. Prioritize the requested Epic/IT projects, and then work with IT on the capacity planning. Develop clinically-lead roadmap of upcoming proposed projects, to align with overall IT roadmap. Develop and monitor metrics to help optimize our instance of Epic and improve the efficiency of all clinical users. Provides communication surrounding BCA and downtime education organization wide. Qualifications Education: bachelor's degree in healthcare, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) Licensure/Certification: None Experience: Five (5) years of related experience, including experience with a wide variety of healthcare workflows, and a working knowledge of organizational policies and procedures related to clinical care, revenue cycle/billing, and information systems/infrastructure. Working Knowledge: Must possess basic computer knowledge with a higher understanding of Excel and PowerPoint Learn more about diversity at Oklahoma Heart Hospital.
