Transportation Specialist

Responsible for the preparation of the inbound schedule.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
• Responsible for scheduling truckload and less-than-truckload waste loads into Rineco
• Map-reading skills needed to put together LTL loads on a profitable basis
• Must be able to trouble-shoot problems with carriers and customers
• Must be able to work well with others to resolve conflicts
• Negotiations of rates

Education:

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years office experience. Trucking/scheduling experience, knowledge of DOT hazardous waste regulations are preferred.

Competencies:

• Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
• Computer literacy (proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel).
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced, multi-faceted working environment and change.
• Ability to handle diversified assignments and assist with special projects.
