The Director of Business Attraction plays a critical role in GSL's efforts to attract new companies, investment, and jobs to the bi-state metropolitan region. The Business Attraction team at Greater St. Louis, Inc. markets St. Louis to generate new investment leads and provides follow-on services at no charge to the client to position St. Louis' competitive advantages. Such services may include site location visits, customized market research, financial incentive assistance, and related support. The GSL Business Attraction team works collaboratively with regional economic development partners across the 15-county, bi-state MSA to find the right site solutions to meet clients' needs. This role is responsible for developing and delivering innovative, data-driven campaigns that promote the St. Louis region as a premier destination for business investment, with a focus on high-value industries and markets. The Director will lead initiatives that enhance regional visibility, generate qualified leads, and grow the business attraction pipeline. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications, this individual will directly support efforts that bring thousands of new jobs and billions of dollars in capital investment to the St. Louis region. Travel and Schedule: Must be available during standard business hours. May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday as project deadlines demand. Events and meetings will involve some early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Will require travel based on project demands. Travel includes frequently driving a motor vehicle as well as occasional air travel. International travel will likely be required on occasion.
