General Job Description:

The Manager, Enterprise Systems plays a pivotal leadership role within the IT department, reporting to the Director of Systems and Applications. This position is critical for successfully aligning technology initiatives with overarching business goals. The Enterprise Systems Manager will lead and mentor a team of functional analysts and developers, including both employees and consultants, to oversee a wide range of initiatives. A strategic mindset is essential, as this role is responsible for proposing projects and solutions that directly support corporate objectives8. Key responsibilities include evaluating "buy vs. build" decisions and overseeing the maintenance and support of enterprise systems. This high-level leadership position is focused on delivering significant value to ACCO as an employee-owned company.

Functional analyst and developers, both employees and consultants

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

May include, but not limited to the following:



  • Promotes best practices in systems implementation and system management across Technology, Business and Consultant teams.
  • Mentors Business Analysts, System Analysts, and Developers in enterprise best practices and documentation
  • Works directly with business leaders, managers and users to gain a full understanding of issues as well as possible alternatives.
  • Works with Stakeholders to analyze processes and procedures and issues in order to document current practices.
  • Formalizes proposed change(s) to address the limitations of current practices. Defines requirements and scope.
  • Develops business-facing documentation that helps the business teams understand the overall systems.
  • Researches alternatives that are in line with corporate objectives, particularly if the software is to be purchased or developed in-house or with external consultants.
  • Leads the promotion and preparation Technology documentation including Charters, Business Requirements, ROI Analysis, Deployment Forms, User Documentation, Change Control documentation and Project Planning.
  • Follows established project management methodology to deliver high-quality value to clients.
  • Facilitates effective team interaction, collaboration, and communication within the Enterprise systems team and among business and BRM leads.
  • Identifies critical issues and keeps current on emerging industry business practices.
  • Analyzes metrics and ROI studies to evaluate how effectively systems meet their objectives. Works closely with business leaders to adjust solutions to resolve low performance.
  • Works with others within ACCO Technology to identify requirements and use cases, to identify, clarify and define business needs
  • Researches and recommends complementary product solutions, and assists in the evaluation of products and solutions.


Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities):



  • Ability to quickly adapt to new business teams. This includes leadership in acquisitions.
  • Understands and demonstrates appropriate discretion with sensitive information and Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
  • BS degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of successful experience in working enterprise environment and leading people.
  • Must have Hand on experience with Oracle JD Edwards.
  • Experience with IFS, Salesforce, Bid Tracer, AP Automation, Time Keeping tool is strongly desired.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all necessary parties throughout the project planning process.
  • Ability to manage resources within the project schedules and budgets.
  • Able to effectively lead and hold teams accountable. This includes, but is not limited to: acknowledging team member contribution, mentoring team members and resolving conflicts.
  • Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database, and system design. Stays current with application best practices.
  • Able to demonstrate customer service skills. Project Management skills and experience with software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Project Libre)

  • Vendor and resource account management and negotiation

Competitive Wages:

$106,000 - $143,000 annually. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
