We are hiring for a Terminal Manager position reports to the Director, Terminal Operations. The terminal manager is responsible for Supervision of terminal operations personnel on day-to-day operational activities at proprietary terminal including petroleum product receipts, transfers, marine receiving and loading, blending, loading rack operations, product deliveries, tank field operations, quality control, routine maintenance. Ensure that the terminal implements, executes, and stewards various Global Operational Excellence requirements to ensure safe, compliant, operationally disciplined, reliable, and cost-effective terminal operations

"Gauges" of Responsibility

  • Ensure that the terminal is meeting the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including financial and EHS performance indicators; ensure the optimal utilization of assets employed; identify and implement cost management, efficiency, and EHS performance initiatives

  • Handle all people-related matters (employees and contractors) at facility including approving payroll, performance reviews, training, and development

  • Responsible for implementing and managing security protocols to protect the facility, personnel, and assets from various threats.

  • Monitor daily operations. Assist in line/pump selections, scheduling docks, monitor load/discharge rates, prevent delays

  • Oversee safe execution of terminal capital and maintenance projects or programs in the terminal, EHS, and local regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with key internal/external customers to ensure cross-functional terminal tactical alignment and that service level agreements are met in an incident-free and cost-effective manner

  • Implement, execute, and comply with internal business process requirements; perform, lead, and participate in various internal terminal audits and assessments; ensure the closure of facility audit action items

  • Mange all aspects of inventory control and balancing (tank gauges, marine moves, transfers, truck/rail)

  • Assist Terminal Administration in the development of an annual operating budget for the terminal including identifying maintenance and capital projects that are needed for the proper operation of the facility. Operating within the approved budget for the terminal as well as alerting management to any variances that may occur on a month-to-month basis.

  • Assist and respond with operational problems as they arise and emergencies. This is a 24-hour operation This could include giving advice by phone after regular hours or returning to the terminal

  • Continually assess the safety and efficiency of terminal operations and adjust, as necessary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in terminal or plant environment in the oil and gas industry

  • Relevant supervisory/people management experience

  • Leadership, operational stewardship, and cost management are competencies essential to the job

  • Experience in petroleum inventory control and marine movements

  • Thorough knowledge of the API Recommended Practice on Light Product Quality Terminal Operations

  • You possess effective communicative skills, both written and verbal, and have acute attention to details and accuracy

  • Youcanjuggle competing priorities in a fast-paced work environmentand have

  • Youarehighly ability to multitask organized and possess proven critical thinking skills
