The Senior Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements for Texas State Technical College (TSTC). This position will oversee and lead institutional reporting efforts, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of submitted data. This role includes strategic oversight of data processes, mentoring team members, and driving data-related initiatives that align with TSTC's mission. The Senior Reporting Analyst will also foster collaboration across departments, proactively address data challenges, and recommend innovative solutions for improving institutional reporting and compliance. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the accuracy and validation of institutional data and other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $57,542.40- $63,296.64

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

***This hybrid role requires on-campus work a few days each week.

Essential Functions:

  • Champion the organization's core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity in all interactions with stakeholders, partners, and team members.

Regulatory Reporting:

  • Prepare, validate, and submit timely and accurate reports to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
  • Coordinate data collection and reporting for the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).

Compliance and Standards:

  • Stay up-to-date with state and federal reporting guidelines and regulations, including any updates to THECB and IPEDS requirements.
  • Review internal processes and datasets to ensure compliance with reporting standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory reporting guidelines for institutional stakeholders.

Data Validation and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to collect and validate required data.
  • Lead and Facilitate regular data validation efforts with relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
  • Identify and address inconsistencies or gaps in data to ensure reporting accuracy.

Data Analysis and Process Improvement:

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to reporting processes, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Recommend enhancements to reporting tools, processes, and methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide training or guidance to team members on reporting standards and best practices.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, compliance, or reporting roles, preferably in higher education.
  • Proven experience with THECB and IPEDS reporting is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of higher education compliance requirements and reporting standards.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Location: Hybrid position-must be able to work on campus several days per week.
