Energy Transfer is one of the largest and most diversified midstream energy companies in North America with approximately 120,000 miles of pipelines and associated energy infrastructure across 41 states transporting oil and gas products. The Sr. Manager - Tank Integrity will be responsible for the assurance of tank integrity program within Energy Transfer. The Sr. Manager Tank Integrity will mentor, train and evaluate all personnel in their department through one-on-one coaching, Individual Development plans, and annual performance reviews which are aligned with the Energy Transfer policies. The Sr. Manager Tank Integrity will also develop and maintain Cost Center budgets and oversee their department's project scope development and budget costs. This role routinely interacts with Operations, Commercial communicating schedules, budgets inspection results and any potential business impacts. The Sr. Manager Tank Integrity will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and evergreen of the Tank Integrity Program ensuring the MI department meets and adheres to all applicable regulations and company SOPs such as 195, EPA, LADEQ, PAPUC, NJDEP TECEQ and ET supporting procedures and regulatory SOPs. The Sr. Manager-Tank Integrity will be responsible for: * Inspection frequencies, repairs, re-rates, and alterations made to storage tanks by following and adhering to applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, company standards, and recommended practices. * Working with corrosion and materials group, and the operations team to establish inspection schedules, identify corrosion threats, monitor equipment condition, analyze inspection data, document condition history, and make recommendations to ensure safe, reliable operation of pressure equipment. * Formulating detailed cost-effective inspection plans in accordance with local and federal jurisdiction requirements including company standards. * Communicating inspection schedules, repair deadlines, compliance due dates, etc. and coordinate activities with Operations and Commercial staff to ensure inspections/repairs are completed by required dates. * Work with Corrosion Services and the Corrosion Technician to evaluate cathodic protection conditions that could have an impact on tank bottom corrosion rates. * Responding to unplanned events to understand their causes and develop recommendations to prevent their recurrence. Lead and participate in failure investigations. * Participation in regulatory audits as requested by compliance. * Using tank integrity inspection and analysis tools such as API-Risk Based Inspection (where allowed) to determine the extent of required inspections, and overall inspection strategies. * Identifying appropriate inspection and NDE methods to mitigate equipment risk. * Oversight and auditing of NDE and inspection activities in their assigned areas. * Reviewing and approving NDE and inspection results; be able to identify anomalies and eliminate erroneous data. * Selection of appropriate tank coatings to be used by considering the material being stored, the tank's environment and compliance with Energy Transfer Coating Manual. * Ensuring inspection records are current, accurate and in compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and department requirements. * Maintain the tank inspection SOPs and Best Practices with applicable Standards and jurisdictions as incorporated by reference. * Managing inspection data in tank database. * Maintaining a good working knowledge of codes and requirements and know when to seek higher level advice and assistance. * Quarterly accruals are submitted. * Contractor Bidding and Work Offer process is followed * Safety Policies and MyLearning tasks are followed and completed by all assigned personnel Minimum Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The minimum requirements for this position are listed below: * Minimum 10 years of API inspection experience related to tank integrity and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience * Management experience of 8-10 personnel * Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software; Word, Excel, Outlook. * Must be knowledgeable in tank standards, specifications, industry regulatory rules and regulations. * Experience writing inspection procedures. * Proven knowledge of relevant API, ASME, ANSI and other applicable codes and specifications. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline * Current API 653 certification * Formal API 653 training through an API accredited training organization. * Formal training in API RP 580 Risk Based Inspection for Storage Tanks * API RP 580 certification * Formal API 579 FFS training. * API CWI Certification * Non Destructive Examination Experience * Formal Investigation training such as Tap Root or Cause Mapping. * A strong knowledge base in advanced NDE technologies including MFL, Ultrasonic testing * A valid and current TWIC card Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. * Usually, normal office working conditions. * Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
