The Global Fulfillment Leader acts as a cross functional liaison within supply chain, identifying and addressing supply commit shortages to ensure customer schedules and ship plan targets are secured. This role is accountable to ensure appropriate order scheduling, order alignment, and order prioritization to achieve service performance targets across a product portfolio. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer orderbook supply assurance - Address any supply shortages with appropriate supply chain teams to secure scheduled ship dates, project deployment timelines and ship plan targets.
- Create and present executive level summaries of current supply status, issues and impacts
- Proactively communicate schedule impacts including recovery timing if applicable to internal customers.
- Define, review and implement order promising and allocation processes and rules of engagement as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Weekly interface into Supply Planning teams to review Vendor Drive vs Demand plan fill.
- Perform revenue impact analysis and Risk & Opportunity Analysis against firm demand and quotes.
- Complete supply analysis of potential opportunities to establish projected shipment dates ahead of customer PO receipt.
- Facilitate resolution of distribution issues gating shipment.
- Manage key performance indicators driving root cause analysis and improvement initiatives to address service performance failures.

- Identify, validate, support and/or enable supply chain process improvements to drive lead-time reduction, on time delivery and improved agility and scalability.
- Foster collaborative and positive working relationships across global teams to ensure service performance attainment and customer ship dates are met.
- Act as central point of contact across Customer Order Fulfillment, Supply Planning and Distribution to facilitate issue resolution, ship plan prioritization and safety stock replenishments to meet customer shipment commitments and secure revenue.
- Lead and participate in cross functional meetings to ensure on time customer shipments.
- Prepare analysis and reports for Leadership for product portfolio
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, ideally in a Supply planning, Master Scheduling, Customer Order Promising, Supply Assurance, or Order Fulfillment role.
- Thorough understanding of and experience with MRP/ERP systems, Materials Management, Planning or Scheduling standards & procedures.
- Oracle ERP experience beneficial; Oracle Global Order Promising and Backlog Management a plus.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to pivot data, execute v-lookups and use macros.
- Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, Finance, Business, or another related field.

PAY RANGE The salary range for this role in Canada is $82, 900 - $132, 300 The salary range for this role in the USA is $87, 800 - $140, 200
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
