Position: Lead Mission IT Architect

Job Description
Mission Essential is seeking a Senior System Architect to lead and manage contractors on a new task order supporting the Mission Applications and IT Architecture. These duties include but are not limited to:
* Create comprehensive documentation to increase the understanding of the enterprise OSINT architecture to transparently communicate capabilities and reduce risk while planning for OSINT architecture additions, changes, enhancements, and systems integration projects.
* Review and document the current mission application and IT systems, plat forms, interfaces, and workflows through DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts. This documentation should include both high-level architecture diagrams and detailed component descriptions
* Provide ongoing support and maintenance for assigned components across the mission application and IT architecture, addressing any issues as they arise. This includes systems administration, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, applying patches or updates, and ensuring compliance with evolving Government standards and regulations.
* Follow the designated approval authority's Risk Management Framework process for documenting the information assurance posture of assigned components of the architecture to obtain and renew the Information Assurance Approval to Operate (ATO) achieve an Initial Operating Capability (IOC) as well as the Full Operating Capability (FOC).
* Provide the customer with IT architecture documentation (work product), including DoDAF architecture artifacts, diagrams, and flowcharts; detailed technical documentation outlining system components, data flows, and integrations
* Prove technical analysis reports on proposed enhancements and implementation plans for approved architecture improvements.
Requirements:
* Twelve (12) years of experience and a Master's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field; OR have Bachelor's degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master's degree.
* Must have experience within the last two years in this field
