What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking a Project Administrator to join our Construction Services Practice in Fort Pierce, FL! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Fort Pierce, FL office.

We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintenance of construction poject records in accordance with FDOT procedures
  • Interface with the Owner, Contractor, and inspection staff on various facets of the project including review of contract plans and documents, day-to-day construction activities and review of contractors' submittals
  • Perform/oversee the review of daily inspection reports and quantity computations
  • Respondents should have intimate working knowledge of FDOT District 4 or 6
  • Receives general instructions regarding assignments and is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems
  • Directs and assigns specific tasks to inspectors and assists in all phases of the construction project
  • Responsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration
Education | Experience:
What you will bring to our firm:
  • A Civil Engineering degree plus two (2) years of engineering experience in construction of major road or bridge structures
  • For non-degreed personnel eight (8) years of responsible and related engineering experience, two (2) years of which involved construction of major road or bridge structures with the exception of Complex Category 2 (CC2) bridge structures.
  • To be in primary control, a Project Administrator must have supervised two or more inspectors as well as two or more support staff (Office Manager, Compliance Officer, and Secretary) and must have been directly responsible for all CEI services assigned
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level II
  • FDOT Advanced MOT
  • Attend CTQP Quality Control Manager Course and pass the examination.
  • A Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $100,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
