This position is located in Rolla, MO.

* Responsible for receiving, picking up and disposing of surplus property on the MS&T campus in compliance with University procedures.
* Communicate with departments to schedule pick-ups of MS&T property to be surplused.
* Pickup and transport surplus items to the surplus warehouse or other storage location.
* Prepare items for sale, including the setting of prices.
* Assist departments and customers during walk-in sales with property/asset protection, sales support, loading purchases, and all recordkeeping.
* Organize and maintain surplus warehouse and/or other surplus storage locations in accordance with established safety regulations and for the successful operations of the department.
* Take pictures of and post information on GovDeals when determined to be the best method of disposal of asset. Arrange for pickup of asset by winning bidder.
* Track all sales, prepare cash receipts, deposit money, prepare journal entries back to departments, and prepare monthly reports.
* Provide guidance to student workers and/or volunteers assisting with pickups and sales.
* Assist asset management specialist with identifying, tagging, recording, and retiring capital equipment in University inventory system.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

7:00a - 3:30p, or 7:30a - 4:00p, M-F

A high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Minimum of three years of related experience; forklift experience; class E license; able to drive cargo van and/or small box truck; medium physical ability - frequently lifts 50 lbs. with occasional lifting and carrying of objects up to 75 lbs.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

Grade: GGS-006
