Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Quality Manager to be based out of De Pere, WI. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this person will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Quality department for the De Pere facility. This role will lead the team consisting of a Quality Supervisor, Senior Quality Technicians, and Quality Specialists.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of Quality Management Experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is preferred.

What you'll do:



  • Leads team consisting of a Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Technician, and Lab Specialists.
  • Improve customer satisfaction by focusing on reducing or preventing customer complaints.
  • Performs periodic internal audits of the Quality System to ensure that it is effectively established and maintained in compliance with ISO 9001:2015. Will manage De Pere QMS documentation, controlled document creation and management, and the annual ISO recertification process.
  • Supports production personnel by resolving process and material related quality problems in support of various manufacturing departments.
  • Supports Building Quality into a Process, by utilizing various Quality tools such as FMEA, process capability, Gage R&R, SPC, pareto analysis and other six sigma/lean tools.


What you'll bring:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, or equivalent along with a minimum of 5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of tube-making and fabrication preferred.
  • Knowledge of metrology, inspection methods, blueprint reading, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Standards and Quality Management Systems required.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and experience with Six Sigma/Lean projects preferred.
  • Experience managing teams which support and drive company values and initiatives from a leadership level.


Within 3 months, you'll:



  • Complete your Atkore Immersion program.
  • Have an understanding of customer product specifications and existing quality and production processes.


Within 6 months, you'll:



  • Partner will all functions to define process capabilities, assess gaps, and develop gap closure plans.
  • Establish full control of all Quality related functions (RMAs, Rework, Inbound Material Quality, etc.)
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicator reporting, while actively participating in Lean Daily Management activities.


Within 12 months, you'll:



  • Support plant process improvement projects using Quality tools such as FMEA, process capability, Gage R&R, and other Six Sigma/Lean tools.
  • Manage ISO certification process for the De Pere facility.
  • Provide direct reports with training opportunities and performance feedback.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $93,280 - $128,260. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
