Division and Unit Overview

The C&EN Media Group is part of ACS' Communication Division. The C&EN Media Group also has several revenue-based programs including lead generation products, C&ENjobs recruitment job-board and display classified advertising, as well as native advertising and custom publishing products. C&EN Media Group is responsible for the sales and marketing of all advertising products and promoting C&EN's brand to organizations globally.

Position Summary

The Lead Generation Manager reports to the Senior Lead Generation Manager and will support the day-to-day production and logistics of the successful C&EN's webinars, white papers, e-books, quizzes and surveys. In addition to production, responsibilities of this position also include reporting key metrics to multiple stakeholders, assisting with C&EN marketing efforts to promote lead generation products to advertisers, providing assistance to advertising sales representatives, and supporting digital advertising on ACS' many online platforms, including cen.acs.org & pubs.acs.org.

Responsibilities:



  • Assists with all logistics when working with On24 technology vendors for each individual webinar.
  • Manage the annual calendar of upcoming campaigns for webinars, white papers, eBooks and other lead generation products. Ensures calendar is up to date with all key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manages campaign status and updates in project management tool, Asana.
  • Supports the communication process with sponsors from the "kick off" calls throughout the planning and post wrap up process. Acts as the main interface in answering questions and solving any issues. Ensures smooth delivery of campaign by reviewing campaign performance. Provides timely wrap up reports to client and sales team.
  • Works with both internal and external designers to produce branded assets including emails, ads, online ads to promote each campaign. Prepares marketing campaign and email/landing page collateral for each lead generation product using HTML and marketing automation platform, Eloqua.
  • Creates social media campaigns for campaigns and provides follow up reports.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team on supporting lead generation and digital focused revenue marketing campaigns.
  • Creates and updates sales collateral including the online media kit and promotional emails as required.


Required Skills:



  • College degree or equivalent experience with 1-3 years of experience.
  • HTML experience required and experience with marketing automation technology a plus (Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot, or Hubspot).
  • Must have strong written skills, client facing experience and excellent organizational skills with ability to run multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.


This role is based in our Washington, DC office. The Communications Division employees work a hybrid schedule, consisting of working onsite two days (Tue/Wed) per work week, as decided by functional area. The balance of the week is open to working remotely, though employees are always welcome onsite each day if they choose.

A reasonable rate of compensation for this position is between $70,000-75,000 per year.
