Twenty Four Seven Hotels is searching for a Director of Learning & Development to join the People Resources & Development(PR&D) Team. This position specializes in performance and learning delivery of brand, position and service-related areas. This position will plan, facilitate and monitor compliance of required training and learning tools, including presentation materials, job aids and standard operating procedures. Additionally, this position will verify programs/processes are effectively implemented to accomplish objectives in alignment with broader business objectives. Highlights of this position will include:

Training Administration

  • Promotes and informs associates about all training programs.
  • Drives brand culture and values in all training activities.
  • Stays current on learning technology enhancements and new learning program launches, including current HRIS tools.
  • Uses effective training methods to ensure associates have a good understanding of guest satisfaction and can demonstrate guest satisfaction skills.
  • Coordinates 24seven Hotels and Brand required training programs, including identification of participants and periodic follow-up for completing, when appropriate.
  • Delivers training to promote transfer of knowledge according to program learning objectives.
  • Thoroughly prepares for each learning event (in-person or virtual) and demonstrates a mastery of content knowledge or shares stage with subject matter expert.

Associate Development

  • Helps employees identify specific behaviors that will contribute to service excellence.
  • Facilitate utilization of brand specific training materials to improve service performance.
  • Works with leadership team to determine developmental needs of managers.
  • Develop Manager in Training(MIT) program to facilitate next level of growth for the organization
  • Oversee Manager in Training(MIT) program for Corporate and Property Associates
  • Collaborates with PR&D Team to support training efforts of participants to increase skills (Safe & Sound, OSHA, Food Handling etc.).
  • Maintains an annual/quarterly training calendar.

SOP Management

  • Identify processes and tasks which require SOP
  • Gather information on the process from stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Define structure of manual, format of SOP and housing
  • Using a consists style write SOP with clear and concise instructions
  • Implement rollout and training to relevant personnel
  • Determine refinement/update process

Facilitate Onboarding Process

  • Ensures participants receive the appropriate property and company orientation, understand program materials and build relationships with property leadership team.
  • Facilitate the "Opening Act" process for each new hire
  • Deliver virtual Orientation for all Company Associates
  • Analyze Orientation feedback from news hires for process improvement
  • Assess Retention metrics with PR&D Leadership quarterly to determine additional needs

Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree and/or 4+ work experience based in training or human resources
  • Hotel or related industry experience required
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other associates.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Bilingual English & Spanish highly preferred
