Description

The Sales Development Director is responsible for successfully leading and managing the regional sales and marketing teams. This includes oversight of recruitment, training, coaching, motivation, development, and retention efforts. The Director will drive the implementation and execution of city-specific sales strategies and tactics to ensure the achievement of revenue goals.

As a Regional Sales and Marketing Director, you will:



  • Involved in leading commercial planning process, development of regional and port sales plans, strategies and tactics
  • Supporting other commercial functions (Regional marketing, Revenue Management etc.) in the development of regional and port plans
  • Quantifying market potential by segment & sub-segment
  • Determining account development activities for key customers and prospects within each market segment
  • Performing analyses of segment and sub-segment buy tendencies
  • The degree of selling activities influence on actual sales (S.A.M)
  • Zip code & T&T market feeders etc.
  • Reviewing the results of marketing & Sales activities (promotions, trade shows, advertising, etc.)
  • Develop key accounts
  • Develop specifics sales strategies for targeted accounts
  • Partner with National Sales roles (Corporate, Tourism etc.)
  • Work with SVP Sales and Marketing to set sales goals for sales team members
  • Ensure effective execution or Regional and Port Commercial plans by directing the efforts of the sales team
  • Directing the efforts of the sales team
  • Accompanying sales team members on face-to-face sales calls and observe and coach
  • Identifying skill training needs for all sales team members
  • Working with each sales team member monthly to evaluate performance/skills and providing necessary coaching
  • Work with SVP, RVP & GMs to develop all budgets and goals according to the company guidelines
  • Work with the RVP, GMs and City Directors to develop city cruise management plans
  • Execute other regional and local projects assigned by leadership
  • Collaborate with corporate marketing to localize and implement regional marketing campaigns
  • Oversee the planning and execution of trade shows, promotional events, and outreach initiatives
  • Monitor ROI on regional marketing activities and recommend adjustments as needed
  • Ensure brand consistency and messaging across all regional channels
  • Oversee all city ticket booth operations, local sales initiatives, and onboarding processes.


Requirements & Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 7 plus years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, including at least 3 years in a director-level leadership role and 3+ years of hands-on experience with proactive, face-to-face selling
  • Proven track record of successfully recruiting, developing, and managing a high-performing sales team
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence agreements
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and research to drive actionable sales strategies
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments and with external stakeholders
  • Sound judgment and emotional intelligence, with the ability to identify key issues, validate perspectives, and maintain objectivity in decision-making
  • Providing thoughtful advice and exercising discretion when handling confidential or sensitive matters
  • Effective listener with the ability to assess situations, identify relevant issues, propose solutions, and foster alignment among stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with sales prospecting tools and CRM platforms
