Summary of Position

The Manager, Government Provider Operations is accountable for departmental oversight of day-to-day tasks required to maintain Medicare and State Medicaid practitioner networks. In addition, the Government Provider Operations manager oversees administrative support to assist approved Teladoc Health Medical Group, P.A. providers obtain additional state licensure. The Manager will identify and assist in resolving barriers and collaborate with Provider Recruiting, Credentialing, Practice Management, Operations Programs, Legal and Client Services to meet company business needs. The Government Provider Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing that adequate practitioners are available in the Medicare and Medicaid networks, Medicaid practitioners are affiliated to Teladoc's Medicaid Group, verifying the ongoing participation status of Medicare and Medicaid practitioners and enrolling new practitioners into Medicaid networks as required, as well as ensuring efficient administration of obtaining state licensure for providers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day management including effectively leading and motivating staff individually and as a team to meet production goals.
  • Promote a culture focused on high quality, procedural compliance, technical competency, professional decorum, and exceptional internal and external customer service
  • Understand technical processes related to government provider operations and provider licensing
  • Identify, navigate and resolve barriers and provide direction and guidance to staff
  • Make process improvement recommendations suitable for clients and that meet regulatory standards
  • Coordinate the sharing, receipt, and/or update of information among various internal departments as necessary
  • Report on practitioner network status, team productivity and quality and Key Performance Indicators
  • Create and update effective process documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Adapt to changing business needs and manage uncertainty and competing priorities
  • Perform special projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for Position

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma / GED required.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience leading team of 5 or more.
  • 5+ years of health care operations experience; experience with Medicare/Medicaid regulations, verification process preferred
  • Subject matter expertise in provider licensing and licensing board workflow
  • Demonstrated success supervising a diverse team, including setting team and individual goals, scheduling, assigning work, providing ongoing feedback and constructive guidance, writing and delivering performance evaluations and leading team meetings
  • Experience in staff management including skills-need identification and hiring and interviewing
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across and outside the organization to support clinical operations, interacting with staff, executives, practitioners, clients and others
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced reading comprehension skills including, but not limited to, ability to understand data-focused reporting, regulatory standards and guidelines, and high-volume email correspondence
  • Meticulous follow-through of delegated tasks, including follow-up with staff to ensure completion, quality, and meeting deadlines
  • Understanding of Microsoft office tools to document processes and complete reports
  • Ability to react effectively to unplanned circumstances, requests and challenges
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure and deadline-oriented environment
  • Effective team player
  • Identify and seek solutions to strive for continuous improvement

The base salary range for this position is$80,000 - $90,000.In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed hereTeladoc Health Benefits 2025.Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
