Job Description

Danfoss in Ames, Iowa is looking for an Accounting Internto supporttheGlobal Services (GS), North America Financial Shared Services Organization. The Finance Intern will performGeneral Ledger and Fixed Asset responsibilities including the preparationandprocessing of a varietyof accounting documents and reports. The intern will work closely withlocal andregionalFinance personneltosupporta timely and accurate month-end close, whilesupporting other functions as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:




  • Prepare a variety of accounting documents including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis and reports
  • Answer inquiries and provide other functional area employees and managers with timely and reliable information
  • Support local and regional Finance personnel to ensure a timely month-end close
  • Participate in annual fixed asset inventories for NAM facilities
  • Support the Financial Shared Services organization as needed

  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting
  • Junior standing or above
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Works well with others
  • Ability to work part-time (20 hours/week) during the school year, and full-time (40 hours/week) during summer
