Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator (Academic Services and Student Records) for the School of Engineering. This role oversees the day-to-day operations of the Office of Academic Services (
OAS). This individual, working under the guidance of the Assistant Dean/Director of Advising, will facilitate all academic services operations and administrative tasks for the School of Engineering Office of Academic Services including registration activities, transcript, and student record maintenance, graduation certification, and more.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Consistent implementations of academic policy, clear communication of policy to students, faculty, and all stakeholders.
- Provides consistent, accurate, and confidential record keeping and maintenance of academic records across multiple systems.
- Supports the Assistant Dean/Director of Advising in overseeing all administrative functions of OAS including maintaining accurate absence records, scheduling and supervising student workers, and overseeing the work of administrative team.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of program design and execution, coordination, organization, college academics, student development as well as the operations of an academic advising office.
- Also requires a minimum of two years relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple duties and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently.
- Must be able to work autonomously and productively with outside entities including SOE departments, other Rutgers units, and SOE students.
- Experience with standard applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe and comfortable learning new technologies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Sensitivity to, and understanding of, the needs of a diverse student body.
- Experience assessing learning outcomes, student programming, and retention and outreach efforts.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience with Rutgers and student information systems such as RUT-Admin, RU-Transfer, Degree Navigator, and Navigate 360.
- Experience with DocuSign, Qualtrics, Canvas, and Salesforce.
- Previous experience supervising student workers and/or managing the workflow of administrative support staff.
- Knowledge of Rutgers-New Brunswick resources such as the Rutgers Learning Center, Dean of Students, CAPS, Health Services, Career Exploration and Success.
- Understanding of the undergraduate programs at SOE as well as institutional knowledge of SOE and university policies for Rutgers-New Brunswick.
- Creative thinker with an interest in improving efficiency.
