Who is Saint Louis University? Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University is one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious Catholic universities. Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution committed to student learning, research, health care, and service, invites applications for a one-year Visiting Professor position in Computer Science, beginning in August 2025. Rank is open and will be commensurate with experience. The visiting faculty member will primarily focus on delivering high-quality instruction across a diverse portfolio of inclusive undergraduate and graduate courses. While visiting faculty are valued members of the department with a teaching specialization, research engagement is encouraged but not required. Candidates with expertise in Computer Science or a closely related field are invited to apply. A doctoral degree is preferred but not required. We welcome applications from candidates across all areas of Computer Science, with particular interest in those specializing in object-oriented programming, software engineering, databases, computer systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Additionally, we seek to strengthen existing departmental research and teaching areas, including algorithms, bioinformatics, computer vision, human-computer interaction, machine learning, computer graphics and VR, cyber-physical systems, computer networking, and cybersecurity. Required materials include a cover letter, CV, contact information for at least three references, a teaching statement, and a statement outlining how the applicant's efforts contribute to an inclusive and diverse academic community.
