Your Impact
As a Client Service Risk Specialist, Global Energy & Materials and Advanced Industries (North America) you will provide guidance to McKinsey's Partners on optimizing client service and thought leadership while mitigating associated risks.
You will advise Partners on managing potential risks in client engagements in Global Energy & Materials Practice (GEM); which includes energy, mining and metals, chemicals, and agricultural sectors, and Advanced Industries Practice (AI); which includes aerospace & defense, semiconductors, automotive, industrials & electronics, and distribution networks; in alignment with Firm policies.
You will be responsible for facilitating the sector's client and engagement risk evaluation for potential GEM and AI engagements and advising internal teams on the sector risk mitigation process. You will lead the evaluation and triage of engagements, as well as interface with cross-functional legal, risk, and compliance colleagues to ensure appropriate risk review and oversight according to risk policies. You will also work closely with professional sector colleagues to develop and improve risk practices and protocols, support efforts to increase awareness and training within the sectors, and develop procedures and processes for timely and accurate record-keeping.
