Position Summary |
The Department of Neurology is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Specialist/Receptionist intern with our team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to start a career in office administration. The successful candidate will be supporting various administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations. Key responsibilities include:
* Greet and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner
* Answer emails
* Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
* Assist with data entry, filing, and document management
* Order and maintain office supplies and inventory
* Support other departments with administrative tasks as needed
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
* Friendly and professional demeanor |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Prior office or customer service experience is a plus, but not required. |
