Job Summary:

Supports the IRB by triaging and managing submissions through a pre-review process for completeness. Supports the research community by providing policy and regulatory guidance and ensures studies are complete before being reviewed by the IRB. Manages IRB documents, website, training compliance, files and other duties as required. Maintains current knowledge of pertinent regulations for all types of research. Maintains a high level of time management skills to ensure that filing deadlines are met.

Position Responsibilities

Responsible for moving submissions through the IRB workflow process in a timely manner, ensuring that submissions are review ready prior to routing for review, conducting certain non-committee reviews, and generating correspondence after the review process is complete.

Responsible for managing the activities of IRB committees, including developing agendas and writing minutes and ensuring appropriate regulatory determinations are made during convened meetings.

Maintain documentation of IRB decisions, related correspondence, proposal approval and records management

Confirm IRB member meeting attendance to ensure quorum and monitor quorum during IRB meetings.

Serve as a resource to IRB Members, researchers, and key personnel by providing support for the preparation of research applications, including guidance on applicable regulations, and submission in the electronic IRB submission system.

Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience: One year IRB experience

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field. May substitute required education with related human subjects protection and/or research administrative experience on a two to one basis

Training / Licensure: Human Subjects Protection training. Certified IRB Professional (CIP) from the Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R) within 365 days of hire or job change.

Hourly Rate: $27.80 - $43.12 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
