Description Nursing/Clinical Support For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for LPNs:
This RN position will support our Infectious Disease and Travel Clinic located in South Portland, Maine. Our office has gained 5 new physicians in the last 3 years and is looking for additional clinical staff. The responsibilities in this role for the selected candidate would be managing our IV antibiotic monitoring program, administering travel vaccines to our world traveling patients, assist with the patient discharge lists for multiple hospitals, performing prior authorizations along with medication refills and ensuring our community of patients are well taken care of. We see patients for all sorts of diagnosis such as STI/HIV, bone infections, chronic UTI's, or just a surgery wound that won't heal. Between our traveling patients and different type of wounds/infections, it keeps it interesting. We have two locations, one in South Portland and one in Biddeford, so there could be opportunities to work at both locations if interested. This is a full-time (40 hours), benefited position. The schedule is Monday-Friday from 8 am-4:30 pm. Your nights, weekends, and holidays are off! Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse - Ambulatory Care role is responsible for performing duties and responsibilities within scope of nursing practice, related to patient care in the ambulatory setting. Participates in patient and family teaching by working cooperatively with the physician/advanced practice practitioner and other members of the healthcare team. The Medical Assistant (MA) role is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care and administrative support in a team-based environment while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office. The Medical Assistant MAA role functions under the license of the physician/advanced practice practitioner when performing clinical and other patient care responsibilities.
