Senior Clerical Assistant - Child Support

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.70 - $25.05

Job Summary: This position performs complex and varied clerical tasks which include maintaining the OnBase and KIDS databases, compiling data for reporting, data entry, processing incoming and outgoing documents, generating documents, and providing necessary clerical support to ensure compliance with Federal Regulations, State Laws, and Mandates.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Maintain a schedule for genetic testing appointments to be held at the office. Send requests to test incarcerated and out of area participants to the testing lab and update KIDS and OnBase with appointment details provided by the lab. Retrieve voicemail messages from the appointment rescheduling voicemail line.
  • Upload and index appointment notices, administrative genetic testing orders, and genetic test results into OnBase. Upload scheduling dockets into Teams. Electronically file genetic test results into court database.
  • Generate and prepare genetic testing appointment notices for mailing. Respond to emails from the testing lab, attorneys, and other child support staff or partners regarding questions related to genetic testing. Maintain confidentiality of records, documents, and correspondence.
  • Query genetic testing lab website for sample details and results. Update KIDS with testing appointments scheduled by court clerks, and with genetic test results. Update electronic case notes in OnBase with scheduling information, test results, and related communications regarding testing.
  • Any and all other duties as may be assigned



Minimum Requirements:



  • Current resident of the State of Wisconsin
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least two (2) or more years of office clerical experience which must include data entry.
  • Intermediate knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of office/customer service principles, methods, and practices; oral and written communication skills; analytical skills, basic math skills, skill in data entry and in using a personal computer, including the ability to query and retrieve information and produce word processing documents. Plan and work independently in a faced paced and high stress environment. The ability to work with multicultural populations and projecting a positive and concerned image to the public. Being sensitive to participants and learning child support regulations, policies, procedures, statutes and e-file requirements in order to work effectively and harmoniously with internal and external clients and the public with the capacity to maintain strict confidentiality.

Physical Demands: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Reaching, Bending/Kneeling, Hearing, Talking, Visual, Typing, Writing, Manual Dexterity, Upper Extremity Repetitive Motion, Lifting/Carrying 10 lbs., Pushing/Pulling 10 lbs.
