• Completion of a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline
• Basic knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria
• Basic communication skills including the ability to comprehend, follow directions, and convey detailed technical data
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships
• Work collaboratively within a team environment
• Good problem identification and resolution skills
• Exhibit questioning attitude and practice self-checking
• Basic level of Microsoft Office understanding

As an Early Career PRA/Risk Informed Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the IB Products & Engineering Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Probabilistic Risk Assessment group analyzes components and systems in nuclear power plants to ensure their safe performance. The group uses statical analysis and data to evaluate component failure rates and the impact on plant operation and safety. This work provides valuable insight for plants regarding the safety and economic impact of components and systems. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $65,000 - $84,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
